Sumit Rawat

Sumit is our Head of Technical Support. A man of many talents, he’s Aiana’s chief engineer too. With over 15 years of experience in the luxury hotels and resorts sector, his engineering and management skills ensure that our entire operation runs as smoothly as possible.

Sumit specialises in built environment engineering and building service projects. Over the years, his experience has led him to hold some impressive senior positions, including Chief Engineer with the Marriott Group, Oberoi Hotels, as well as The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. He is well versed in leading large engineering teams at top luxury properties where teams must meet the requirements when operating, managing and maintaining properties.

As well as managing day-to-day operations, Sumit has overseen the refurbishments of several large landmark hotels and resorts. His responsibilities have included brand and engineering services audits, as well as civil, structural, interior and landscaping works.

Sumit was responsible for the development of our Design & Construction Standards and Guidelines for property development. He offers architectural, design and engineering support to our partners to ensure that our brand standards are met. He recruits and trains engineers to meet the exacting standards of the hospitality sector.
